I've been thinking of a friend I'd had before I dumped social media (FB) (again) at the beginning of 2022. He was one of three of four memorable friends from a few hundred, convinced GD were the best band in the world. I'd never heard of them so he said, pick a genre, any genre, I'll blow your mind.
I picked one, psychedelic I think. He linked to this song. I heard it just that once and had a lucid and gorgeous (and memorable) daydream while listening.
Never heard it since. He (his archetype) had been in a nightmare/dream from about fifteen or twenty years prior, so it meant something. A lot really. And now I will write out the dream, because it links to the song and what is happening in the world. Thank you Steven Berger for the inspiration and the sign. You're a ledge.
Saw it on Broadway when I was 13 years old. Part of what changed my life forever for the better.
Those lyrics are true despite any merely outer circumstances that may seem to be to the contrary.
For every ascent in consciousness there is a corresponding descent into our lower nature that seeks to transform and transfigure it.
The brighter the light, the darker the subterranean depths which are revealed.
Our inner state becomes our outer environment, both individually and collectively.
The world has lost touch with how to co-operate with this process gracefully, to it's benefit and therefore we have the inevitable consequences of that lack of awareness all around us.
Those of us 'in the know' can walk through the midst of this world unharmed, providing an example for those who haven't got it yet...
The End Product will be another kind of reality altogether where whatever we Intend comes into being instantaneously in complete balance and harmony with All-That-Is.
The language of religion and spirituality in general and of Orthodox Christianity in particular has become a 'foreign language' for most people and, as such, has become incomprehensible to most of us.
Besides that, it has been misinterpreted, misunderstood and misrepresented for so long that most of us simply disregard it altogether and end up 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater'.
These articles are my attempt to 'translate' this foreign language into something more comprehensible.
I would be interested to see what you think about them.
The divine mother has 108 names. Sometimes 1008 as in the Lalita Sahastranama chanted near the end of an all night Devi Bhava darshan. I decided to look for a recording since your article put me in mind of it and found the beautiful Devi Prayer on YouTube that I had had on CD long ago and only thought of again recently. I couldn’t remember the name so didn’t expect to hear it again. I like a nice bit of synchronicity and I like the way your mind works even though I don’t get all your references!
I just went looking for one with translations. Had never heard of it, listened for over 15mins but it went for an hour. It's so rich! Amazing. How different will the world be when we start worshipping the right things again (ie. the fabric of reality)...
